Carvill (Elizabeth Martin Carvill, mother of Ruth Martin Carvill Crossle) Her father (John Carvill) The husband (Philip Crossle, husband of Ruth) Malcolm Brown & Co Distillers, Dundalk Miss Clark (school teacher for both Ruth and Phyllis) Letter NOT SENT. Letter to Phyllis from Elizabeth Carvill expressing gratitude and thanks for her efforts to intervene with Ruth. "The news you gave us in [the letter] was appalling.' Apparently all the talking to Ruth has "made not the smallest impression.' Mrs. Carvill gives Phyllis an address to write "the husband', if she wishes to communicate with him. It seems from the letter that former school teacher, Miss Clark, helped Phyllis talk to Ruth.
