The conclusion of this letter is on page 423 is at the bottom of the page. John [Carvill] is offering his home at Foye, Carlingford, Co Louth to "Patrick" - presumed by the signature of "John" to be his brother Patrick Carvill? It could also be Patrick Cronin? This Patrick has had a rheumatic attack and John is extolling the virtues of peace and quiet at his home. Mrs. Hewison told John about his ill health.
