Description
Letter from John Carvill to Alice [Lawlor Frazer], the daughter of his sister-in-law. He had been ill for months and describes his illness, time in London, and travels back to Ireland. He apologizes that he did not visit her on his return to Ireland. After discussing fishing, he invites her and her husband (Sidney Frazer) to visit them in Carlingford. He also hopes that the terrible war will soon be ended. NOTE: Alice is Ann Alice Lawlor (b 1883 - d 1957, dau of Mary Ellen Martin & William Hamilton Lawlor - Mary Ellen is sister of Elizabeth Martin Carvill). Alice was married to Sidney Frazer in 1913. Their grandson, Andrew Frazer, of Hillmount, Cullybackey, is married to Lady Juliet Chichester (dau of the 2nd Marquess of Donegall).
