Description
waiting to say goodbye to him. As the train steamed out of the station he leant out of the window, and just looked at the men on the platform and then at the Cathedral spire standing out dark and blue against the rosey sky, then suddenly he shouted "Goodbye, chaps, goodbye Ireland, goodbye" and then fell ? onto his seat. The last I saw ? him, he was at Carlingford leaning out of the window up toward Newry at the gorgeous sunset shaded first from blue to yellow and then from yellow to a brilliant rose colour. When I arrived home I found Phil Crossle had come to stay with us. After supper I read till I went to bed.
