bones. Though Gerald had three Galls and I had two. After dinner we went down to the bottom of the garden where there is a glorious echo and had a conversation. When it grew dark we came in and tried to mesmerise each other but it generally ended in Gerald bursting into the fits of laughter at the person who was being mesmerised, they only once succeeded in getting to do it right. After having mesmerised everybody till they were sick of it, we each began to do the pin trick and various other tricks till Mrs Pantlam (?) sent us to bed at about at about 10.30.
