Mother (Elizabeth Martin Carvill) Father (John Carvill) Ruth (Ruth Martin Carvill) Ruth was apparently barely well enough to be able to write her mother a letter & asked for a visit. Her mother indicates that a daily visit was impracticable. She said her father was going to send her grapes and she would send her flowers, despite the fact that the garden is quite burnt up.
