Description
W. Perry (William Perry), Cavendish Club, 119 Picadilly, London W. William Perry will become the 2nd husband of Carvill's daughter, Ruth Martin Carvill. The husband mentioned here is 1st husband, Philip Crossle. It is obvious from this letter that Carvill is estranged from his daughter, that she is in some sort of financial difficulty that Carvill thinks can be handled through the "Bankrupt Court", that he is unaware who W. Perry is, and that this is the first notice that he has received that Ruth is no longer living with Crossle (who she married "against our strongest opposition"). J. Carvill (John Carvill) of Foye, Carlingford, Co. Louth.
