Description
Re-write of letter on page 489 with addition of Crossle's first name....written the next day, Aug 19, 1917 Mr. Swanzy (Newry Vicar - Henry B Swanzy) J. Carvill (John Carvill) of Foye, Carlingford Philip Crossle, husband of Carvill's daughter, Ruth Martin Carvill. Letter marked "Private" Carvill is enclosing a copy of the prior letter sent to W. Perry for Mr. Swanzy to read and return. He indicates that he showed the letter to Philip Crossle "who called here today on his way thro to London. He had received the London letter in Belfast where he is now residing". Carvill says of Crossle: "I am afraid poor fellow he is a very impractical man in such affairs."
