Description
In the morning after watering the flowers, I painted the house and mother went down to the village to do some shopping. After lunch I rode down to the station and went to Newry to the Erskines, who were giving a party. As I was going up there I met Tinnie Kelly and John and the two Swanzys. After we had been there about a quarter of an hour we started and played quoits and afterwards twos and threes. I found a piece of white heather which I gave to Tinnie to give her luck on her journey to Cork. where she was going the next day. As I was sitting in the train in Newry waiting for it to start a lady got in who from her style I recognised to be from Belfast. When she got into the carriage she opened her handbag
